Parliament calls for nominations for persons to fill vacancies in specified roles in institutions to which it has statutory obligations.

PDOs are being established to create a parliamentary presence in deep rural, under-resourced and under-serviced local communities.

Parlimentary Constituency Office

A Constituency Office is the office of a Member of Parliament in a geographical area. MPs remain in contact with the people they represent through being available at their allocated Constituency Office during the regular constituency periods.

Keep yourself informed by using the media. In order to be able to influence decisions taken in Parliament and the provincial legislatures, you must keep yourself aware of what is going on in these institutions and in the broader society.

From time to time, certain committee hearings are advertised in newspapers. Another way of keeping informed about Parliament is by attending report back meetings held by members of Parliament (MPs).
